EFFECTIVE TEACHING REFLEXION: Reading the rubric and the other readings I could see how important is to self-reflect and take action every day as a way to grow as a teacher and benefit the students, we get caught up in our work and that is the easiest way to become a Ms. Friendly stuck in the same teaching style even if it is not being effective.
It is essential to keep updating on our practices and strategies. Thanks to science and research, we continue to learn more about how our brains work, how learning is influenced by multiple factors, and how we can support neurodivergent children better.
As teachers, we must be aware of these changes and look for new strategies to improve our teaching style. While some teaching methods may be practical and easier to implement, others may require more planning and research, like identifying barriers and planning differentiation strategies. However, witnessing our students grow, learn, and become motivated to learn is the best motivation to keep going.
As a school leader, evaluating a teacher's practices is not enough. We must help them grow, reach challenging goals, and feel supported instead of judged. This approach will guide our school to its best potential and create a positive environment for teachers and students alike.
